Beethoven's Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 1 No. 3 showcases the young composer's daring spirit. Written early in his career, it already bears the hallmarks of his mature style, with its intense contrasts and fiery energy foreshadowing the revolutionary path Beethoven would soon embark on. This concert also includes Mel Bonis' gem for piano trio Soir et Matin and Rainer Crosett performs Penderecki's compelling Divertimento. We are also delighted to welcome back local young violinist Rose Gosney for Dvořák's charming Bagatelles alongside our festival artists
