For centuries, Vienna stood at the as the cultural epicentre of Europe, a rich melting pot of music, art and literature. This programme features five of the great voices writing in the “city of dreams”

oin RCMF artists for J.S. Bach Partita No.1 in B minor for solo violin followed by transcriptions of the 2 and 3-part inventions for strings.
Concert 8 - Finale: Octets for Strings

Romsey Town Hall
RCMF 2019 closes with a concert of string octets featuring Mendelssohn’s perenial favourite, written at the age of just 16 and Enescu’s extraordinary contribution to the genre. Winner of the American Prize for composition, young composer Zach Gulaboff Davis’s Octet receives it’s UK premiere.
