Young Artist Programme
The Romsey Chamber Music Festival Young Artist Programme offers outstanding emerging chamber musicians the chance to learn, perform, and collaborate at the highest level. Participants work alongside internationally celebrated artists, in an inspiring and supportive setting.
The 2026 Romsey Chamber Music Festival takes place from 23–31 May 2026. The Young Artist Programme will run throughout the 2025/2026 season, with activities leading up to and including the festival.
This new programme builds on our long-standing commitment to education and outreach, creating an integrated experience that supports the next generation of chamber musicians.
Participants will:
-
Receive individual and group coaching sessions from RCMF artists
-
Take part in public masterclasses during the festival
-
Perform in side-by-side projects with festival musicians
-
Be offered performance opportunities where appropriate
Each participant’s programme will be tailored in discussion with the Artistic Director to best support their artistic development.
Applications are open to both individual musicians and pre-formed ensembles. There is no charge to take part in the programme once accepted.
We welcome applications from early-career chamber musicians at any stage. There is no strict age limit, as artists develop at different points in life. While a link to Hampshire or the Test Valley area is preferred, it is not essential. Applications for 25/26 have now closed, information about RCMF YAP 2026/27 will follow in summer 2026.
