Kinga Wojdalska

Viola

Kinga Wojdalska was born and grew up in Poland. She graduated from the Royal College of Music in London in 2021, and in September she will be pursuing a Master Soloist degree at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, in Lawrence Power's class. Her acquired musical and stage experience has resulted in successes in 16 international and national competitions, at which she has won 19 different awards including 1st Prize in the Bach Solo Competition 2020 and the Karl Doctor Prize in the Lionel Tertis Competition 2019. As a young musician she performed internationally at venues including Musikverein in Vienna, Jordan Hall in Boston and Kings Place in London.

In summer 2019 she took part in Colluvio – a chamber music project, where she performed the M. Weinberg Piano Quintet with outstanding musicians from Eastern Europe. With this chamber group, Kinga performed on a concert tour in five European countries, where she performed in concert halls including the Schubert Birthplace Museum. Later that year she made her debut at the Royal Festival Hall in London, performing chamber works and arrangements of Thomas Adès during the London Philharmonic Orchestra Showcase. In addition to this, she has shared the stage playing chamber music with many fantastic musicians including Ivan Monighetti, Miklós Perényi and Máté Szűcs.

Kinga has also participated in many significant festivals such as Encuentro de Santander (Spain) and Musethica (France, Spain). Besides this, she regularly takes part in music courses and viola masterclasses, where she can play for and learn from great musicians such as Nobuko Imai, Maxim Rysanov and Miguel da Silva. In 2017, Kinga received a full scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Government of Canada and Morningside Music Bridge Foundation to participate in a one month music programme in Boston. She worked under the direction of Teng Li, Yu Jin, Ori Kam and Kim Kashkashian which gave her an opportunity to develop her musical versatility.

Kinga has been awarded several scholarships, including a Hattori Foundation award, the RCM Lambert Scholarship from the Musicians' Company, and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust award supporting her Masters degree at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Since 2020 she has been playing in the award-winning ‘Brompton Quartet’ and in 2016, she co-founded the ensemble 'Kameralna N-Harmonia'.
