Leonie Trips

Violin

German violinist Leonie Trips currently studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Professor Klara Flieder-Pantillon and was previously a member of the pre-college programme at the Mozarteum where she studied with Brigitte Schmid. Recent competition successes include winning prizes at the Jugend musiziert competition and prima la musica both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. In 2016 Leonie was award the culture prize of the ARTS Kulturfördervereinigung.

​Leonie regularly appears in concerts throughout Europe as well as recording with the Bayerischer Rundfunk. She has recently worked with renowned conductors including Mariss Jansons, Gêza Szilvay, Thomas Hengelbrock and Jonathan Nott.

During her studies Leonie has participated in masterclasses with Ingolf Turban, Olivier Charlier and Réka Szilvay. Leonie is very grateful for the support of the Benno Kittel-Stiftung who have been supporting her musical development since 2009.
