Romsey Chamber Music Festival 2025
5 - The Devil's Violinist: Paganini 24 Caprices
Thursday 5th June, 7.30pm
Romsey United Reformed Church

Few figures in music history have captured the imagination quite like Nicolò Paganini. A captivating performer, he dazzled audiences with his extraordinary talent, even fueling mythes that his abilities came from a pact with the devil. Paganini’s 24 Caprices are regarded as the most difficult collection of pieces ever written for the violin; not for the faint-hearted violinist! Praised for his “total command of the instrument” by the Montreal Gazette, violinist Luke Hsu returns to Romsey in a rare performance of the complete 24 Caprices. An event not to be missed!
Paganini 24 Caprices, Op. 1
This concert will finish at approximately 9.20pm
Tickets £18, Under 25s £5
