Thomas Guthrie returns to RCMF following his remarkable performance of Die schöne Müllerin in 2024. This next instalment in his exploration of Schubert’s great song cycles comes in Thomas’ own arrangement of Winterreise for voice and strings. It casts the work in a new light, perhaps closer to what Schubert himself might have heard in the informal musical gatherings of his Vienna circle.
